There are three different types of resets for the TGXL (Tuner Genius XL)
- Factory Reset
- Resetting the Touch Panel Display calibration
- Resetting the ATU Tuning Solution Memories
Factory Reset of a TGXL:
- Turn off the TGXL using the power switch on the back panel.
- Press and HOLD the front panel BYPASS/OPERATE button.
- Turn the TGXL on using the small rocker power switch on the back panel.
- Continue holding the front panel BYPASS/OPERATE button until the “Config Reset” message appears on the front panel. Then release the BYPASS/OPERATE button.
- Start the Tuner Genius XL Windows Utility and connect to the tuner.
- Set all configuration options as desired and then click SAVE. If you do not click SAVE, the new settings will not be retained, and you will have to rerun the reset procedure.
Resetting the Touch Panel Calibration:
(NOTE: The Touch Screen on the TGXL is only active on the 1x3 models, not the SO2R models)
- Using the power switch on the back panel, power off the TGXL.
- Press and HOLD the front panel TUNE button.
- Turn the TGXL on using the small rocker power switch on the back panel.
- Continue to hold the front panel TUNE button until the touch panel goes blank and shows a small BLUE DOT
- Tap the BLUE DOT and it will move to a 2nd location on the screen.
- Tap it again and it will move to a 3rd location.
- Tap it a third time and this completes the touchscreen calibration.
Clearing the TGXL ATU Tuning Solution Memories.
- Using the front panel TUNE Button press and hold it until a Reset Notice shows on the screen.
- The TGXL Tuning memories are now reset and you can store new memories by tuning your favorite frequencies and achieving a successful tuning solution.
