In certain circumstances, it may be necessary to uninstall the FlexVSP driver in order to reinstall it if the FlexVSP Repair option is not available. The first step of this process is to uninstall the FlexVSP driver, which is described below. Once the FlexVSP driver has been uninstalled, it can be manually reinstalled using the How to Manually Install the FlexVSP Drivers procedure or by simply reinstalling SmartSDR for Windows.
Manually Uninstalling the FlexVSP Driver
Close the SmartSDR CAT application if running.
In the Windows Search box, enter Add and Remove Programs. Select the Systems Setting option.
Scroll down to the FlexRadio Systems FlexVSP program entry and click on it.
Click on the ellipsis (...) and then click on Uninstall option.
You will be prompted, "This app and its related info will be uninstalled". Click on the Uninstall option.
At the "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" prompt, answer YES.
If you receive a prompt to “Automatically close applications and attempt to restart them after setup is complete”, click on OK to continue. See image below.
A progress dialog box will be displayed, as shown below, as the FlexRadio Systems FlexVSP driver is being uninstalled.
After FlexVSP has finished uninstalling, manually reboot your PC if not prompted to do so.
