If SmartSDR for Windows looks like the image below, then some of the SmartSDR application fonts may not be installed on your PC and/or the PC monitor scaling percentage is not set to 100%.
System Fonts
You can download the fonts from our website and manually install them on your PC.
Napoli Serial Extra Light Font
To install a TTF font on your PC, do the following:
- Unzip the file to uncompress the TTF (TrueType font) onto your computer
- Right-click on the Didact Gothic TTF font and choose Install.
- Right-click on the Napoli Serial Extra Light Font TTF font and choose Install.
- Restart SmartSDR for Windows.
Sometimes the computer may need to be rebooted before the font installation completes.
Monitor Scaling
SmartSDR is not an application that renders properly when the monitor scaling percentage is not set to 100%.
To Verify the Monitor Scaling Percentage
- Right-click on a clear spot on your desktop and select "Display Settings" or Graphics Driver Properties."
- Ensure the monitor scaling is set to 100% and the display resolution is set to the recommended setting.
- Repeat this for each monitor connected to the PC.
