We have had several reports if incidences of Anti-Virus programs causing a long-delay in the startup of SmartSDR for Windows, versions 4.2.18 and later,
One of the most frequent issues is caused by Webroot SecureAnywhere interfering with SmartSDR launching (for like 5 min!).
Resolving the issue:
- Add the SmartSDR/CAT/DAX executables: (SmartSDR.exe CAT.exe DAX.exe) to the allowed programs list in Webroot Secure Anywhere
- Move the "Active Process Protection" for SmartSDR from "Monitor" to "Allow"
These, or similar steps, may also resolve the issue if you are having it with other Anti-Virus programs, such as NORTON, ESET, AVAST, McAFFEE, Super Anti-Spyware, Malware-Bytes, and others.
