Here are the instructions:
Configure a Sports CAT port
- Open the SmartSDR CAT application.
- Click "Add…" to add a CAT port.
- Select the pulldown for Port Protocol: and select N1MMSpot.
- Record the UDP Port number it created. You will need it to configure Spots in N1MM+
- Click on "Save" to create the port.
Configure N1MM to Send Spots to SmartSDR CAT.
- Go to the "Configure Ports, Mode Control…." tab.
- Click on the "Broadcast Data" Port
- Look for "Spots" and enter the same port number created in CAT, above. For example, if the CAT N1MMSport CAT Port made in the section above was 12061, Enter 127.0.0.1:12061
- Click the checkbox to enable Spots.
- Click the "OK" button.
Connect to a DX Cluster in the N1MM Window > Telnet menu
If you have used N1MM+ before, you probably already know how to do this.

Enable Spots in SmartSDR
- From the SmartSDR menu bar, open the "Settings > Spots..." menu.
- Click on the Enable button.
The spots should start showing up shortly on the panadapter.
