How to Set Confirm Exit in SmartSDR CAT & DAX

Overview

SmartSDR CAT and SmartSDR DAX now include a Confirm Exit setting that controls whether a confirmation dialog appears when you close the application. If you routinely start and stop CAT or DAX as part of a station startup or shutdown routine, you can turn the prompt off.

Earlier versions always prompted. Confirm Exit is checked by default in both applications, so nothing changes unless you turn it off.

Before You Begin

Connect CAT or DAX to a radio first. The setting is in each application’s Settings menu and is not available before you connect.

Turning Confirm Exit On or Off

1. In SmartSDR CAT or SmartSDR DAX, open Settings.
2. Select Confirm Exit. Each selection toggles the check mark on or off.
   • Checked: A confirmation dialog appears when you close the application.
   • Unchecked: The application closes without prompting.
3. Repeat in the other application if you want the same behavior in both.

Notes

• The confirmation is always skipped during a Windows shutdown or restart, regardless of the setting.
• The setting is stored per Windows user and roams with the user profile.
